The second firing in my new kiln

It was very exciting once again to open the kiln. You never really know exactly how the colours will have developed. I believe it's where the magic happen, although each piece that I make takes around 4 to 7 hours to paint and 24 hours to finish.

The first firing in my new kiln

I was very excited when my new kiln arrived. It took quite a bit of unpacking, but it wasn't long before we had it set up and put it on for a first firing.

Where I form my ideas for painting my ceramics.

Landscape, flowers and butterflies are very important to me and form the ideas for my ceramic pieces. Each piece is a combination of ideas and a walk through the countryside with me and my dog. I love the sea too and I enjoy painting boats and local harbours.
